Publishing as School. Publishing as Activism.

"Because we live in this bubble that we call critical thinking, but it’s the same critical thinking, is there enough diversity in our opinions?” —dpr-barcelona

Conversation between dpr-barcelona and Sofia Pia Belenky, Hunter O’brien Doyle and Tobias Hentzer Dausgaard for DUE, a weekly publication by the Architectural Association School of Architecture. This issue is the outcome of DUE BAR which presents a set of conversations held during the opening days of the 4th Istanbul Design Biennial, A School of Schools, in November 2018.

A friendly and informal talk between comrades about books, publishing as a social act—as a thing that brings people together—, and about other ways of working, based on care and friendship, and not on a capitalistic approach. They are all related. The book as a pedagogical tool, and the act of publishing as a form of activism, to generate some critical thinking.
